During Before School Care the children are given time to settle into the morning, eat their breakfast where requested and improve cognitive and fine motor skills through activities such as construction and arts and crafts.
Once breakfast is completed the children enjoy activities which increase their gross motor and social/emotional skills through participating in group games and activities.
Social skills are developed through imaginative experiences such as outside activities and sports, listening to music and creating their own dances.
Children get ready for school and are separated into their school groups. New children are assisted to their classrooms if necessary on their first day.
Should you wish we are able to provide a breakfast for just $5.50. Our menu options for the term are Cereal, vegemite/jam on toast (2 slices) with either a glass of milk or a milkshake.
Our After School Care program starts with your child being collected from their respective school by our staff in our fleet of mini buses. The driver delivers your child to Gullivers Coomera where everyone is signed in to the program. At this point the children receive afternoon tea which comprises a selection of fresh fruit and sandwiches.

During the time the other buses are arriving and children are eating their afternoon tea the children are allowed free play time under close staff supervision. This can entail playing in the sandpit, shooting some basketball hoops, or just quietly progressing with school homework.
When all the children have arrived and enjoyed some free time (usually by 4pm), a variety of age appropriate activities are offered and children are given free choice as to which activity they would like to participate in.
It is at this point that the children begin to start their rotations around our activity areas each with their own goals and targets. Each area is specifically designed to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Self Help and Cognitive skills/abilities.
All of the sports activities included in our program are completely free. Every child has the opportunity to attend FREE Swimming and Sports Lessons daily.
Gullivers Coomera provides Vacation Care right through all the School Holidays as well as Pupil Free Days. We offer a great range of daily activities including many exciting excursions. Some of our excursions are listed below:
We also arrange incursions at our centre in conjunction with the local Veterinary services and our local Police and Fire Services.
Our Vacation Care program is listed on our website 4 weeks prior to each school holiday with all booking forms listed for your ease of use at home. Pupil Free Days are also part of our service. Special bookings are required for these days.

The hugely popular Gullivers Coomera Before and After school Care service was launched in 2005 along with the Vacation Care and Pupil Free Day programmes. We now have nine buses collecting and delivering children from local schools.
Over the last 15 years the service has hosted several hundred thousand daily visits to our programme which is now among the largest in Queensland. Over 500 local families make use of our service every year.
Gullivers is unique in that it is privately owned non-school based and is a single entity and not part of a chain or conglomerate operation. We provide the opportunity for children to make new friends, have fun and try new activities. With only one centre we are able to focus all our resources and experience into operating our only site and ensure we maintain the standard that we have built our reputation and success on.
Most of the year our After School Care programme runs at capacity or close to it and our constant success suggests we are continuing to meet parent expectations in providing a happy, healthy and safe environment while teaching kids skills for life.
